COVID-19 has impacted the lives across the region, including Edson, Alberta. As the situation continues to evolve, Western Legal wants to reassure our clients and the community that we are taking this situation seriously, and putting safety measures in place that prioritize the health and well-being of our clients and staff. We also want to ensure you get the answers and consummate legal guidance you expect.

We have been advised on the practical measures to help stem the tide of COVID-19, including regular hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, frequently disinfecting commonly touched areas, and social distancing whenever possible.

We’re Available & Working

We are still operating to address your needs and questions. Western Legal is accustomed to remote operations and happy to provide assistance to current and prospective clients.

We are regularly checking emails & texts, are open by appointment for in-office matters, and phone appointments are available.

All ongoing matters are still being handled in the same way, and actively working to resolve matters favorably.

While our office will continue to operate and serve clients; we will be closed to the public until April 1, 2020 (or as otherwise directed by our governments):

• We will be locking our door, and posting a sign explaining our closure; and
• We will no longer be accepting walk-ins, including notary appointments, commissioner of oaths.

Client appointments will be permitted by appointment only. These include:

• Real estate closings;
• Estate planning documents (Wills/EPOAs/PDs); and
• Time sensitive matters.

The boardrooms will also be routinely sanitized between appointments.

We kindly ask that if you are showing any symptoms or are generally unwell, you stay home.

We will continue to closely monitor the recommendations and decisions being put forth by our governments, so that we may respond with further measures, as required.
